TREATMENTS
The experts at Catalyst PT select the clinically-proven treatments and prescription exercises that will best help alleviate your pain, restore motion to joints, and strengthen debilitated muscles. We determine the best intervention for your specific needs to ensure the fastest, lasting results possible. Our evidence-based therapies include:
AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill
Using a pressurized air chamber to uniformly reduce gravitational load and body weight, the AlterG enables patients and athletes to move unrestricted and pain-free, restoring and building muscle strength, range of motion, balance, function, and fitness.
Blood Flow Restriction Training
That means that our success depends entirely on your success. At Catalyst, we only grow when our patients and referring physicians get lasting results. We earn the trust of our community through successful treatment, every patient, every time.
Cupping
Many therapies such as massage and joint mobilization involve compressing tissues. Cupping is decompressive in nature, using suction cups to lift the layers of fascia and muscle beneath the skin, which can become tighter, thicker and less mobile due to injury or overuse. Cupping creates space and releases tight tissues for improved blood flow, increased mobility and pain relief.
Non-Intrusive Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation
Muscles in the pelvic floor support organs including the bladder, uterus and rectum. These muscles can be damaged from childbirth, aging and other causes, leading to problems such as pain, urinary frequency or incontinence and fecal incontinence. At Catalyst PT, our therapists offer specific exercises to strengthen and retrain the pelvic muscles to improve or eliminate these problems.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
This is a series of exercises used to treat Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), the most common cause of vertigo. BPPV can lead to dizziness, a spinning sensation, balance problems, difficulty walking and nausea. Catalyst PT offers specialized therapy designed to shift the position of otoconia, the crystals found in the balance center of the inner ear, providing fast relief for BPPV.
Dry Needling
This proven therapy uses strategically placed needles to stimulate nerves, muscle and connective tissue, along with stimulating your body’s natural painkilling and healing processes. The brain responds to this treatment by increasing blood cell counts and other immune system elements and activating neurotransmitters, such as endorphins and enkephalins, that stop pain and increase a feeling of well-being.
Joint Manipulation
This technique offers many clinically-proven benefits, including pain relief, faster recovery time, and improved range of motion. Therapists apply pressure with their hands to help stretch and adjust muscle, connective tissue, scar tissue and the joint capsule.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy promotes healing and restores function through highly skilled, hands-on treatments, including joint and soft tissue mobilizations, spinal manipulations (when appropriate), medical massage, neural mobilizations, muscle energy techniques, and manually assisted exercise.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial connective tissue can be restricted by trauma, surgery and inflammation, leading to pain, tightness and stiffness. This technique uses gently applied, sustained hand pressure to release and elongate myofascial connective tissue, eliminating pain and restoring motion.
Spinal Manipulation
This technique offers many clinically-proven benefits, including pain relief, faster recovery time, and improved range of motion. Therapists apply pressure The doctors at Catalyst PT are specially trained to safely and thoroughly rehabilitate and strengthen the entire spine to treat pain in the back, neck and shoulder and even headaches. This technique involves using our hands to manipulate and move spinal joints, which relieves pressure, reduces inflammation and improves nerve function.
Therapeutic Exercise and Strength Training
Therapeutic exercises are specific physical movements that increase strength, restore function and reduce pain. Your Catalyst PT will assess your condition, then develop a program of customized exercises just for you to improve your movement and flexibility, working closely with you and adjusting your plan as you progress.
